This isn’t just the story of a small farming town in Maryland, but the story of towns all across this country. What started as a film has turned into a community preservation project.

As we put the final touches on the film, our fundraising efforts have transitioned to the preservation and restoration of Pleasant View church and Quince Orchard Colored School.

The church and school are designated a Historic Site in Montgomery County, MD. To help preserve both structures, their history, influence on community, and longstanding legacy, consider donating to the Site’s Preservation Project.

Our goal is to raise $1M to preserve and protect these important memorials. To date, we have received $530K in donations and pledges from both governmental, corporate, and individual donors. However, to access the pledged funds from the State and County, we need to raise additional matching funds.
